AFL.. It Women's round in the AFL and Narelle and I are a bit unsure of what we're actually supposed to do for the occaision??..Brendon suggested we wear pink poncho's or something, but I dont see that happening without good reason. Either way I hope we can contribute something & well done to all the girls who do.

In light of the AFL's new villification rules to include 'Sexual Orientation' I think a new round should be named in it's honour. Boh has suggested 'Fag Round', but we cant forget the girls, so it will be 'Fag and Lesbo Round'. And we can't forget the rest of our community either so 'F&L' Round will be followed by M to F Transexual, F to M Transexual, Bisexual then Tansvestite Round, where all the players must play in stillettos....Ok maybe we're asking too much. We'll start smaller, but maybe someday :-P.
For now Women's footy will carry the flag for the minorities, with our Victorian team crushing the favoured WA team 100 to 4! Ahh Victoria you are Gold! We love it when you surprise us, you're so sweet and thoughtful *blush*...They then followed up by beating Queensland 48 to 7.

Back to the Lads now, and the Swine Flu delusions continue with Carlton winning on the road for the first time this year. Judd saves the day and Fev finished with 8. Freo almost created the 2nd delusion, but Port Adelaide fired back in the second half.
Sunday was a little too close for the Cats liking, with West Coast finishing only 22 points behind. Essendon and Adelaide battled it out in match of the round, with the honours going to the Crows for Tyson Edwards 300th game. We tip our hats to the Crows for a mighty win, and to tippet for 7 goals.
There is still one game to go on Queens birthday Monday between the Pies and the Dee's at the G. It's a day game, so it won't matter if the lights accidently go out this week. But if it get's dark at least Jack Watt's will be good for something...Ah c'mon gimme some :-P.
NRL....And what a state of Origin match between Queensland and NSW! Well it was a great game untill the Ref blew his whistle, but isn't it always? Not sure if the video Ref has a brain let alone a whistle. The Blues were robbed of the opening Try which broke their spirit for the next half.

No S*#t! Can you show us where his knee is too?....His heel could be in the air, and I think they call that benefit of the doubt you yahoo's!
After that debacle, Queensland turned it on and it looked to be a thrashing untill NSW hit back and made a game of it. It went almost to the wire but the Maroons scored the sealer to give the favourites victory in Game 1.

Well you can say Queensland won, but they couldn't have done it without the Melbourne Storms Greg Inglis and Billy Slater. So Really you can almost say Victoria won Origin Game 1, and we werent even in the comp! Phenomenal!....We will anyway :-P. Those boys followed up two days later to give Melbourne a big win over the Bronco's.
As for the Panthers clash Guernsey....I felt like I was back in the 80's for 80 minutes. Which is not all a bad thing, except its a shocker of a design!
And you will never beat the original 80's wear of the Fluorescent dragons
:-P:
Tennis....Nadal and his pink shirt left the building early this week, which is good becuase it was really clashing horribly with the burnt Sienna clay surface.
Ahhh Roger You've done it again!....R-Fed beats the man who knocked out Nadal to claim his first French Open title ever. This brings him equal with Pete Sampras with 14 Slams. You the Man Rog! But still more tears this time :-s... Sorry Pete, we like America but we can't have have a Yank as the greatest player of all time, give the rest of the world some hope.
In the Women's it was an all Russian affair, and we were going for Safina because Kusnetsova knocked out our Sam. But she also knocked out Serena so she gets bonus points :-). Kusnetsova claimed the title so Tennis has a new Queen! Either way both girls are more gracefull than the last one, but it wouldn't be hard.
Cricket....Ohh Andrew Symonds, you are to Cricket, what Ben Cousins is to Footy...On your last chance warning with alcohol and you stuff it up again!...Apparently he was watching the state of Origin Rugby at the time of the incident, so we can't blame him for wanting a beer or 2, but what happened after that remains a mystery. Calm down Symo, your team won!

This leaves the door open for Hodgey and means the Board is runing out of excuses not to pick him. How can you say he missed out when there is a new spot open hrrrm?...Let me guess, you're not going to pick him because he can't bowl too? Im sure you will find a reason to come up with another replacement. Who cares if they're an underachiever, as long as they're an all rounder ey;-) .
.As for the 20/20 World cup, I'm not sure we want to talk about the embarrasment. Warner was good with 63 from 53 balls to give us a nice start, but the West Indies were on well over 100 after 10 overs. Chris Gayle his a huge 88 from 50 balls!...Can anyone say with me; Hodgey? Symonds? Come back???
F1...And what a great way to kick off Holiday Monday. Mark Webber (starting 4th on the Grid) finishes 2nd behind Button, with teammate Vettel 3rd in the Turkish Grand Prix. Well done to Jensen, but dude It's getting old now.... Let the Champagne fly woo hoo!

All that n more on the show that goes through more balls than Roger Federer.
Peace out*
